I'm starting a literary magazine for prose under 500 words, which you can check out at conciselymagazine.blogspot.com, and I think it would be really cool if some one sentence stories were included, so I hope you'll check it out and consider submitting something!

everstone: The Bird

The bird soars high above the horizon, free as a bird, until the hunter in his prime cuts him down in one swift shot.

I just wanted to say that this community looks really awesome and I think it's a shame it hasn't been updated in ages. But I know how hard it is to keep a community going. I'm currently working on a (slightly longer) micro fiction community called four2four, which is going a bit slow, but if this community ever gets up and running again I would definitely be interested in posting more often here.

She paused and the words ran around her head like hyper chipmunks in the silence; they were lively but they weren't actually worth anything.

Had to write an essay about the consequences of plagiarism the other day, and I sure kicked the hell out of it; did I mention I plagiarized it?

copious_pete: operation: dormant

I've become a Pavlovian dog salivating through my sedentary summer apathy with no consideration for the vicious cycle of cause and effect that is being fueled by my idiosyncratic sluggish behavior, my midsummer lull.

flaccus: Eric

To the high drama and accompaniment of thunder and lightning, in the Olympic rainforests, in the middle of September, Eric Stoltz finally achieved his life's ambition.

sunzoomspark: A story. How novel.

After six or seven years of research, practice, and more than a few heated debates with nay-sayers, Michael finally managed to eat his own face but, by strikingly-heartbreaking tragic-comic default, couldn't actually tell anyone.
